As a designer, educator and writer I aim to promote a critical approach to design. I am a Creative Director of the Design Transformation Group and Head of Design and Applied Arts at Edinburgh College of Art.
Recent projects include:
- A new chair and footstool design for Outgang.
- Product Scotland - a series of creative workshops investigating technology in, for, and through product design.
- Thinking Inside the Box - co-authoring a reader in Interior Design.
- My Souvenir for The Scottish Show
- the national exhibition of the Six Cities Design Festival, celebrating the vibrancy and vitality of Scotland's design
industry.
- Claystation - an award-winning series of installations that invite architects, citizens and vandals alike to redesign their cities for fun and debate.
- Form Follows Fiction Follows Form - a Six Cities Design Festival exhibition at the Scottish Storytelling Centre that investigated how designers embed future narratives in the products and spaces they design.
